And unlike Personal Locator Beacons, Spot does more than just call for help. Tracking your progress, checking in with loved ones, and non-emergency assistance are also available, all at the push of a button. And because it uses 100% satellite technology, it works around the world even where cell phones don't. This personal tracking device sends messages via satellite to cell phones and email addresses. In each message, GPS coordinates are included along with a link to Google maps. GPS coordinates are accurate to within 20 feet. A satellite service subscription is required for use and is purchased separately.
