The Nikon retractable tether keeps your rangefinder or other gear close at hand, yet secure and out of the way when not in use. The tether has a high break strength and is waterproof and self flushing. The cable is nylon coated, stainless steel and will extend out to 25" with a 9 oz. retraction force and a 60 lb. breaking force.
